V5/ Train to the Brain

The final version of my sound peace, which I’ve decided to title Train to the Brain, is included below. I chose the name since it is related to the underworld and rhymes. This final version includes all of the editing I’ve done, such as equalisation, reverb, and panning. This unit was particularly difficult for me because I am obviously uncomfortable with the sounds of the underground. So to have to go out and not just hear them but actively listen for them was something that I was not used to and that took a lot of time to deal with. But I feel that the sounds that I have recorded actively, and accurately reflect how I feel about the underground and how those sounds make me feel, not just physically, but emotionally as well. This task was extremely tough for me since I’d never done these editing practices before. It was quite intriguing to be pushed right into it and have to sort of play about with Pro Tools to create the piece that I wanted. But I am extremely pleased with what I have accomplished, and I am proud of myself for completing this project and this task, and I am thrilled that I was successful.
